Another NASCAR death from cancer.&nbsp;NASCAR Champion and broadcaster Benny Parsons died today in North Carolina.<\/p>\n<p>Although I worked as a reporter for Racing Information Systems and attended about a dozen Winston Cup races, I never got to talk to him in person. I did see him from time to time, and he always had a smile on his face. <\/p>\n<p>NASCAR and the world is a little dimmer now.<\/p>\n<p>Rest in peace, Benny.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Wow.
