For those of you who are Thomas Jefferson fans, here’s what he had to say about what makes a good government:

“A wise and frugal government, which shall leave men free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor and bread it has earned – this is the sum of good government. “

This is the polar opposite of where we’re headed now. Our government appears to be neither wise nor frugal, in fact, we seem to be driving at break neck speed out of control.
