Declining sales. New technology. Disinterested consumers.

All these are reasons that companies across the US are getting handouts bailouts from the government. But every now and then you come upon a company that really needs the government money.

Here’s a company that, after more than a century, is having to cut back on manufacturing… simply because the demand is not what it used to be. According to this story, QRS Music has actually stopped production on one of their products because of the flagging sales.

It’s really a shame, and I urge everyone to get behind this worthwhile cause, to get this company some of the government bailout money in order to keep those folks employed who were laid off because of this decision.

I mean, just because no one is making player pianos anymore shouldn’t mean that piano rolls should just stop being produced, does it?
