The Ideal Feminist

It seems to me that Sarah Palin is the ideal feminist. For years we’ve heard that women shouldn’t have to depend on men, or that it was great that women could aspire to have their own careers in addition to havingĀ a family.
So, here comes Palin, the very embodiment of those sentiments.
You’d think, if the NOW gang were true to their professed beliefs, that they’d be celebrating her candidacy for the Vice Presidency. But they betray those beliefs when they vilify her, hang her in effigy, and otherwise say and do the very things they’ve been preaching against for decades, simply because she’s a Republican (and a well-liked one at that).
There was recently some controversy over the RNC spending $150,000 on clothes for Palin. The media’s double standard shows when that’s all they can talk about, while candidates on the Democrat ticket get a free pass. How much did Biden pay for his hair implants? Frankly, I don’t really care, just as I don’t care how much Palin’s clothes cost.
I’m probably like a lot of other conservatives out there; I’d be a lot happier if the ticket were reversed. Palin is much more qualified to be president than Obama.

As the Democrats continue to whine about Sarah Palin’s wardrobe… isn’t it Obama’s campaign that keeps talking about how John McCain is trying to distract the American people by talking about Ayers instead of talking about the real issues??? Isn’t that exactly what the wardrobe comments are designed to do? Who gives a flip about what Palin wears?
