So, Heart has their panties in a wad because the Republicans used their song “Barracuda” during the Republican convention. They’ve even sent some kind of cease and disest letter demanding they stop playing it.

I don’t think they have a leg to stand on. If the Republicans paid ASCAP, SESAC, and BMI for performance fees, then they purchased the right to use any songs licensed by those performing rights organizations.

So the Wilson sisters don’t want their song used by Republicans? Fine. A better song for the Vice Presidential candidate would be “Powerful Stuff”, made famous by the Fabulous Thunderbirds.
