While looking at the Metro Nashville web site the other day, trying to find out when the primary is in August, I saw that they were asking for help.

The site says they need 500 poll workers. Jobs range from being responsible for the polling place to working the machines. I’ve been a machine operator for the last few elections, and the last two I was the Judge Operator. Luckily, our precinct has been pretty much fully staffed, although during the presidential primaries we were short a couple of people.

If you’ve ever gone to vote, and complained about how long it took, then do something about it.  Send in the application and do some good.
