[...] A few weeks back, we saw Webb and the Beatnecks at the Bluesboro. They had a deal for $29.95 you got admission to the show and dinner for two. At Puckett’s, it was $29.95 and admission to the show per person (or you could pay a $15 cover for just the show). I like Webb a lot, but that’s still kind of steep. [...]

It was weird. I think the sound man was a little too eager to start the canned music after the last song.

As far as the talking, that was annoying. Even with my ear plugs in, I could still hear the people behind us talk. Why would someone choose to go to a place where they know loud music is going to be played, and try to have a conversation? Never did understand that.

The valets were different. They kind of trap you into giving them a tip (course I guess they also tend to ensure that most people wash their hands too).

It seems strange at a Webb concert when the audience doesn't demand an encore, doesn't it?

I'm not sure why I'm so bothered by what audiences do, but there's usually something that happens that bugs me. Last night it was the loud talkers at the next table. I wish all venues would go by the Bluebird's rules of no talking while the musicians are performing. Is it really so outrageous that some folks come to actually *listen* to the music? What a concept.

And the valets in the bathroom was something I've never seen in a bar/cafe. I've run into that a number of times, but it's been in finer establishments than the ones I go to for music. Anything for a buck I guess. The one is the ladies room was making a profit.

Food was mediocre at best. Music was great as always.
